'The Name of the Wind' ís a greeaaaat book by Patrick Rothfuss, please read it if you like fantasy!
I've wanted to draw fanart for it since reading it the first time ... took me a long time to actually do it. Sadly, I'm ver bad at drawing people just from written (not very detailed) descriptions. It all feels very unfinished. To me this pic looks like a mindmap now *laughs*. Too much and at the same timne not enough. But I just had to finish it quickly at one point, no time for details, or I would have never finished it. It's A3 ... and for me that is way too big. A4 is a nice size. How did I ever finish so many A3 pictures in school?! A second copic in skincolours died on me ... will buy a refiller next month, when I have money again.
So, I'm not happy with the pic, but veeery proud because I actually finished it!
... now I'm going to draw stuff for my primary fandom.
Uwaah, you read the Name of the Wind too! It's a brilliant book, one of the best new fantasy I've read... can't wait for the sequel this year ^___^
ajfhldg and your art is awesome!! I looove the way you depicted Kvothe (mmm red hair <3), and the bottles look very shiny. I also love the little details, like Abenthy's message in his book, and the writing on the paper, and just. EVERYTHING.

Wow, wow wow, WOW!!! This is so pretty! I adore the eyes and the skin, and well... everything! You color so beautifully! Really, its lovely! Now I must read the book.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
